Barncard: "Paul did have a sixteen track (an MM1000 - monster) and a real shitty board out at his house - I tried to record him and Garcia and Grace in his basement at Bolinas, but the console had no monitor section and I had to redo all balances every time I wanted to play back. And of course nothing was hooked up properly and I was behind the Ampex most of the time. I think I did record Garcia doing 'Leather Winged Bat' and that tape is probably buried in a vault somewhere."
