  • We have traditionally listed this as Merl Saunders on keyboards. But that was based on the erroneous belief that Merl had arrived on 9/7/70. Ad and listings bill "Jerry Garcia & Friends". IFJGS staff consider it uncertain whether a keyboard player was present. There is no direct or indirect evidence for anyone on 9/14/70, though there is tape of the gigs in private hands which have not been available for study.
