Per sacrockmuseum.org, the club was "classed up" and renamed from Crabshaw Corner to the Oasis Ballroom, after Maria Muldaur's big hit "Midnight At The Oasis". We can't verify that. The site says the name changed in 1975, but it was patently in 1979, just before Reconstruction did a weekend there. See "Public Notice no. 316," Sacramento Bee, March 19, 1979, p. D21, assigning that fictitious business name (at that address) to Peter James Ferri.
