rockondc: The Ambassador Theater and How It Rocked DC The Dead's equipment arrived, but the city pulled their permit at the last minute, and the show was cancelled.

Looks like a single gig was planned to open this theater (see 1967-06-15), then pushback from the community forced the cancellation. Then this 5-night stand later in the month was also scrapped.
