This was the first weekend night under "The Stone" moniker (previously: The Hippodrome) and management (Freddie Herrera and Bobby Corona). They had soft opened with Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker on 1/31/80 (picture and caption in BAM no. 72 (February 1, 1980), p. 41).
Harry Angus recalls "The long rectangular tables facing the stage were draped in white linen. There was a red rose in a clear glass vase every few feet of table with glass ashtrays, each with a Hippodrome matchbook. I sat at Jerry’s feet, the stage being just about four feet above the floor."

The cheeky BAR listing reads "Garcia's local club dates have long been one of the special joys of this burgh. Some will tell you that here resides the true wonders of The Dead, without all the hocus-pocus. Others will tell you it's just a boring old fart. Let those who have ears hear."
