Lloyd Kupferman, Chairman of the Program Board, "was literally knocked on the floor as a result of a blow from one of Garcia's crew, because of a difference of opinion". JG showed up in his limo at 6:30, then left immediately, complaining his room was too hot, brushing past staff with a "get the fuck out of my way". "We expected Jerry Garcia," Bronzino said, "but what we got was Marilyn Monroe".
