Top Of The Tangent July 1964

Notes
  • The only surviving recordings of this band come from these three dates (July 16th, 17th and 18th), but it is unclear which songs came from which dates.
  • The instrumentation is derived from a band interview that was recorded.
  • deadessays: Dana Morgan Jr. has some good quotes about this short-lived act
  • The recordings were made by Stanford students and KZSU radio hosts Pete Wanger and Wayne Ott for their radio program. The original tapes were discarded, but the 10 produced hour-long shows were re-discovered in the 1990s and released commercially by Grateful Dead Records. All surviving recordings were included in the release. See lostlivedead: Jerry Garcia Live on KZSU-am and fm, Stanford University, 1963-64 (KZSU I and FM Part Zero)
