  • John Scher promoted. $20k guarantee for the two bands, money split even-steven but Bobby and the Midnites to receive 100% top billing. JGBP lists capacity as 4,950, but Billboard showed 3,800 for this gig. Gross potential was $47,500, which 5% tax dropped to NGP of $45,238.10. Beyond guarantee, JGB would get 39% of gross gate receipts after tax over $42,414, plus 50% of the difference between estimated non-variable expenses of $33,315 and actual expenses.
  • JGC commenter Fran Dostillio recalls that "there was a Halloween costume contest in between the Bobby set and the Jerry set. The winner was dressed in a homemade Magic Mushroom costume and he beat out a guy in a store-bought E.T. costume by crowd affirmation." What might E.T. have said? "Ouch", of course.
