- Simon Friedman in Deadbase III (Scott et al. 1989, 343): "The 'Bird Song' in the first set is 18 minutes long and is a must for all Jerry freaks."
- "The Wailers" were scheduled as openers at one point, and some tickets have them listed. Bob had been scheduled to play the Cole Field House on 9/25/80, but his last show was Pittsburgh on the 23rd, after which the remaining tour dates were cancelled. Not clear if this printing was an attempt at a makeup. Tickets for Bob Marley shows from the time all say "Bob Marley and the Wailers" so perhaps they we gonna make a go of it without Bob.
