Notes
  • Sue: contract gives address as 739 Boylston Street. Ad in Boston Phoenix bills only as "Jerry Garcia" and doesn't mention early/late shows, but AFM contract shows early and late. For the six shows, JGMS get $5,000 guarantee plus 70% gross receipts over $8,100. Globe listing commits the contractual faux pas of mentioning Jerry's GD affiliation.
  • Jesse Jarnow noted the female vocalist at the end of 'Mystery Train'. A Facebook post recalls "On the last night Jerry was having difficulty singing. His voice was cracking and he was struggling, especially when singing Mystery Train'. Towards the end of the song and the show (sic), a female in the front row jumped on stage and took the microphone from Jerry. She finished singing the song for him and really rocked it! It was awesome. We believe it was Lori Lieberman, a 70s singer/songwriter best known for releasing the first recording of 'Killing Me Softly With His Song', but we are not sure."
