  • "Next Sunday's Jerry Garcia and Merle [sic] Saunders concert at the Palace sponsored by SUNYA will almost certainly be a sellout. Better get to Albany early." The student association arranged buses from campus for $.50 round trip (11/6, p. 17). There was some kind of kerfuffle, since contributions were being requested for the Alton Smith Defense Fund, and the 11/6 (p.14) item called the gig a benefit.
