  • Much venue confusion. One 1/21 listing contradicts ("Jerry Garcia performs tonight at the Phoenix Theatre in Petaluma," Ukiah Daily Journal, January 21, 1983, p. 8). But then a Phoenix handbill turned up saying it was showing the GD movie on 1/21. Then an aud tape showed up as from KPA, as have earlier listings in the Oakland Tribune (January 16, 1983, p. 14), and the Examiner (January 20, 1983, p. E2), and ads in the Sunday pink section (January 9, 1983, p. 12; January 16, 1983, p. 12). Finally, an internal band document has turned up showing 1/21 in Palo Alto and 1/22 in Petaluma, which is how we have it from late 2021.
