  • Mickey, speaking in 10/81: "We took Joan into the studio about a month ago with the Grateful Dead. Acoustically. She did 'Jack-A-Roe' and a new song called 'Lady Di'. ... 'Jack-A-Roe' was just me, Jerry and Joanie with Joan singing . And the other one was everybody but Brent (Mydland) and (Bill) Kreutzmann" (Hunt 1986, 17). Selvin (19810906) added that Hart and Jerry and Baez also worked "on a song Baez wrote called 'The Grateful Dead'." These sessions were in Studio D.
