The remarkable Jesse Jarnow pointed us to Joel Selvin's "On the Town" column from the May 31, 1981 pink section (p. 47), reporting that after the three Nassau sellouts, "the Grateful Dead repaired to the new Gotham niterie, the Savoy, for a closed session, after hours jam featuring John Belushi of the Blues Brothers singing lead on vintage oldies", including the two tunes we list here. Wow.
