  • Sue: wage from unsigned contract: $3,000 plus $1,500 lights and sound plus percentage TBD. Minimum GP sellout $12,000. Looks like there were 200 comp tickets given out ... a lot of friends, or just desperate (looks like the place was just a little more than half full). Signed contract wage given as $2,300 plus lights and sound fees to be provided and paid for by employer.
  • TJS had said, without attribution, that the show was canceled due to an illness in the band. This is now known to have been incorrect, though two reviews do mention that Jerry had the flu this night. Oddly, too, JGB #1 canceled an advertised gig in the same room some four months earlier (11/18/75), allegedly from Garcia being sick in the hospital.
  • Paul Williams recalls that the show was moved from the larger North Hall to the smaller South Hall. John Scher promoted.
  • review: [positive] W.D. 1976, supplying setlist information that Sugaree opened. "Garcia was ailing ... with the flu" on this night, leading him to play a shortened set.
  • review: [negative] Dries 1976; "This concert was mostly country- Dead sounding and all selections were overextended in length - making it boring to some. I understand Jerry was down with the flu but I still have to give this concert a C - sorry Jerry."
