Philip Sicard spent several months in the Bay Area in late '72, and specifically recalls this gig. "There are details I’m absolutlely sure of: on November 8th at Longshotman’s Hall, Jerry (accompanied by Saunders, Bill Vitt, Tom Fogerty and John Kahn) sang only one song of his: They Love Each Other. I knew right away that he had written it. All the rest were covers the titles of which I didn’t know then."
Old listings also had the band in this room on 10/8/72, but it seems almost certain that that was spurious.
