Deadbase (Scott et al. 1995, p. viii) lists as canceled, with note "Not possible with Winterland the night before", but we are learning that they flew back and forth more than one might expect. That said, it seems unlikely given that there are no eyewitness memories of the gig. This was supposed to have been the Black Panther Benefit the Dead agreed to play flying to New York on the same plane as Huey Newton back in September. We presume the 3/5/71 gig eventually fulfilled that promise.
