- Guaraldi biographer Derek Bang and Deadologist Corry Arnold argued that on this night it was Jerry Garcia, Bill Champlin, Vince Guaraldi, John Kahn, Bill Vitt, and Vince Denham (sax). Alas, that is not correct. So the date that lineup may have played remains unknown.
- Instead, this is the Wales-Vitt-Garcia-Kahn quartet (in order of arrival) as beautifully captured on the Side Trips release. GFA-MG-049 captures 92 minutes from this night, recorded by Bob Matthews.
