Placeholder date for NRPS demo session w/ Phil Lesh on bass. Betty on drums comes from Blair Jackson, who interviewed her for his 2005 book Dead Gear. Her timelines seem a little garbled, but here's what she said. "I was the New Riders' first drummer, before there was a band. It was just John Dawson at first, and I kept time because he couldn't keep time and he needed to do a demo, so I played the kit. That was the demo that eventually sold them to Columbia."
