  • Pigpen was not present, probably related to taking time off to care for his girlfriend Veronica who was recovering from a stroke, as discussed on deadsources.
  • The set lists for 10/12 and 10/13 are basically identical, minus the Jam after Drums. Thorough and careful evaluation of the recordings from both nights reveals that there are multiple obvious and distinct differences in the performances that proves they basically played the same set list two nights in a row since Pigpen wasn't there so the band had limited material without his songs.
  • According to deadlists entry for the show "This list is for the real 10/13/68 (see comments for 10/12/68)" This is an old set list note, and is confusing due to the fact that the band played the same set list two nights in a row.
