According to JGMF blog, there is an announcement for this Dead show in the Sacramento Bee of 10/23/66 p. W14. It's also known that they were scheduled to play at St. Mary's College this date, but that was canceled. There is a review of the Freeborn show on 1/6/67 referring to the previous time the Dead played Freeborn to a full house.
